Best on net, part 2

Just an addition to the previous post, ”Best on the Net” awards. Naturally Sitecore delivers the system, but as always it’s really the partner who delivers the actual solution that need the skills which are required to build an accessible and standards web site. Therefore, even though Sitecore can deliver the software, it would be futile if not handled by the right partner.

Also, it’s important to bring into focus the organization who is adopting the software. They must be willing to spend extra time focusing on accessibility and standards, both in daily tasks and during the development process.

When reading through the “Best on Net”, which not only counts municipalities, but also government organizations (where Sitecore also do really well), I cannot help observe that it’s the same partners that are implementers.

Especially partner, Netmester (link opens in new window) has done a great job this year, with more than half the awards on their behalf alone. Well done guys!

More awards: Best on net are built on Sitecore

Huh... I ran into this article this morning. There's been some government competition on becoming "best on the net" (best government web site) and "best to the net" (best platform to deliver government sites).

So, Computerworld Denmark has done an article on it. Here’s the start of the article:

Best on net are built on Sitecore

A range of the best public Danish web sites, are built on the CMS Sitecore, which is the base software of the winners of the “best to the net” and “best on net”.

The “Best on Net” is a yearly award, where all public web sites are measured in quality (ln: accessibility, standards, contents), while “Best to the Net” is a concurrent competition, where seven CMS vendors are competing on delivering tools for accessibility.

Six out of eight awards
In the “Best on Net”, Sitecore delivers six out of the eight highest ranking municipalities, while Sitecore also delivers the CMS for the winner of “Best to the Net”.
